Healx is looking to collaborate with academic groups, patient groups and early-stage biotechs who have drug opportunities for orphan or rare diseases, but who need additional financial support or clinical expertise to take the assets to clinical trial. Working with successful collaborators, Healx will apply its drug development and clinical expertise, as well as its financial resources, to move these assets to trial.

Application criteria

Applicants should have drug projects for rare or orphan diseases with a current unmet medical need, known natural history and ideally, established clinical trial endpoints or biomarkers. The opportunity would preferably be preclinically-validated in models that are representative of the rare or orphan disease of interest and have a clear scientific rationale.
